During my short story class, I read Ann Beattie’s novel, Snow. The snow in this novel symbolizes the memory of a lover. It seems that each culture has a romantic notion of snow. Of course, Korean culture has a romantic concept of snow, too.
The day before yesterday, the first snow of this year was falling down in Korea. The first snow has a special meaning for a Korean couple. They usually say each other, “Let’s meet when we have the first snow.” When the first snow is falling, you can see many Koreans calling to their boyfriend or girfriend. In this beautiful day when white snow covers the everything on the street, they have more romantic date than other days. White Snow has the magic to make couples more emotional. In the winter, Korean lovers dream of romance.

In Taiwan, only very high place like mountain would have snow.
I think in the cold weater, we are warmed more easily, so there are a lot of beautiful stories happened in winther.
I hope one day I can also see the first snow with my lover. ^^
December snow is so romantic. I want to go to Korean with my boyfriend..... :)
